Esta
ESTA, founded in 1979 by Shlomo Deshet and Ori Beanstock is one of Israel's most original and innovative bands.
Performing as a group for over 30 years, Esta is among a handful of visionary artists to fuse Middle Eastern, Jewish, Balkan, Mediterranean, African, Celtic and Western influences into its own pan-global sound, creating an uplifting fresh sound that crosses genres styles or borders.

Esta's music is deeply rooted in Israel's diverse traditions and vibrant society, inspired by the 1970s Progressive Rock and incorporates Jazz's musicianship.
Comprised of some of the most highly acclaimed live and studio multi instrumentalists, Esta's live performances are one-of-a-kind spiritual experience.
An ultimate crossover between a "Hafla" (Middle Eastern celebration), and a concert, performed with virtuosic musicianship, rousing audiences to their feet.

During the 80's Esta was based in Israel, rehearsing and cooking it's own distinctive sound in a bomb shelter that was given to artists during peace times.
The band debuted with the album "Esta" in 1990 and won critical acclaim: "Israeli super group".

Between 1991-1997 the band members lived and worked in New York City, playing the city's club scene and through out the country, building a large following of fans, getting great reviews, and gaining air play on both radio and TV stations.

Esta's second album - "Mediterranean Crossroads" - 1996 (Newance/Music Rama) was recorded at the legendary Power Station Recording Studios in NYC and was CO-produced by Esta and Grammy award winning producer/engineer Steve Boyer - (Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Bryan Ferry).
In support of their new album, which soon after won great reviews for its fresh and electrifying sound, Esta headlined sold-out performances at the world-famous Blue Note club.
During 1996-2000 following this successful release, Esta has toured Europe and the US intensively.

Since 1998 Esta is based back in Israel, and in 2002 the band released it's 3rd album "Home Made World" which gained great attention.
Between 2006-2009 Esta has toured each year for 6 weeks long residency throughout the Midwest as part of Arts Midwest World Fest, conducting public Concerts, school workshops, and master classes in more then 20 cities and small towns.

Esta with it's new lineup is working on a new album, propelled by it's strong passion to explore new grounds.

If you could hang around here for a month or two, I think we might get some things done. You'd keep us all in a very positive frame of mind".
